It
was in July 2005 that we at Red Kimono opened our doors to the
public for the first time. After seeing much success with that
original restaurant in Fort Bonifacio, we opened branch number 2
in the lively Frontera Verde complex which is also home to
Tiendisitas, Fun Ranch and SM Hypermart. Not long after that,
Red Kimono launched another outlet at the International School
Manila.
In
November of 2008, we headed South to Westgate, Alabang, this
time unveiling a co-branded store: Enter Painted Red (www.paintedred.com.ph)
Red kimono's brand new American counterpart serving American
cuisine with influences from Europe, Asia and South America.
In February 2009 we opened a branch of redkimono at U.P Ayala
Techno-HUB in Quezon City. Seven months later our first
provincial branch opened at the Ayala Marquee Mall, Pampanga.
The following month in October, our Cebu branch at the Ayala
Center opened it's doors.
Amidst all this expansion, we feel a tremendous sense of
gratitude to you, our patrons, without whom we could not have
ventured beyond Fort Bonifacio.
We look forward to welcoming you into our new restaurants and we
commit to constant improvement and innovation where our food
quality and service is concerned so that we may continue to give
you the great dining experience you have come to expect and
enjoy at Red Kimono.
Menu
What sets Red Kimono apart is its modern and unconventional
approach to Japanese cooking yet its loyalty to traditional
elements of the cuisine. At Red Kimono, ingredients are tweaked
in order to create innovative dishes that taste and look
amazingly appetizing. The diverse and unique range of Sushi
Specials take center stage as Red Kimono’s most sought after
fare. Here freshness of ingredients is key and there is
continuous development at the Sushi Bar to come up with
inventive and novel ideas. The most popular rice rolls from the
Sushi Bar include Red Kimono’s selection of "Maki Masterpieces"
Apart from the Sushi Bar Specials, there are a host of
modernized and unique options to try at Red Kimono including the
Crabstick Rolls with Wasabi Mayo, Layered Spinach & Tofu with
Miso and Chicken Teriyaki with Potato Hay. For the more
conservative diners, traditional favorites like Tempura,
Teppanyaki and Teriyaki can also be found on the menu. One
traditional dish that stands out as the favorite of many Red
Kimono fans is the Kamameshi Rice (traditional Japanese kettle
cooked rice).
